Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.

I am here to free your mind. To open your eyes. I am here to show you the path. Sooner or later you’re going to realize – just as I did – that there’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

This is your last chance to realize that there is no spoon. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

The Matrix has you…

Follow the white rabbit…█

what happened to starfleet academy’s forum?

rusoaica • 18/12/2016 at 21:10

I have taken it down. The project has been dead for more than 2 years, and I don’t really see a reason for keeping the domain occupied with something discontinued and incomplete. I will make the files available for download again at some point, but that is about it. Time to put this website to some use. This will become a blog for teaching people programming from scratch, without any previous coding knowledge required. For free. Knowledge is power.

any chance of getting the forum set up you had as a download? still think it can be useful, just might not be the time for it right now 🙁

rusoaica • 24/12/2016 at 07:16

At some point, i will make the files available for download again, but the forum itself is rather useless, you would have to get also the database, copy it in a new database, modify some php files to connect to that new database instead of mine, etc.. its not that simple and to just “download the files”.

maybe a little treaties on it? I am sure I can handle it, and actually what I would really love is a way to turn an Elgg social network into something that looks as amazing as that forum did, 🙂

Read this: https://www.rusoaica.com/starfleet-academy-archive/
When I will have the time, I will edit that page to also include the download of the files. And maybe I will also find the time to post some tutorials about setting the database up again.

I have included the download links. For now, only the executable files and the project that contains the source codes. Enjoy!

question, how does this work? are they linking to your database or did they manage to lift it from your website?

Neither of them. Their crawling robots just indexed the HTML output that they saw, just as you saw it in your browser. However, that is just an image frozen in time, and it is static. If you would try to post a new comment or anything that would actually require database interaction, it would fail.
As i said, it’s just the text and images that they saw in the HTML output.

ah ok snapshot and download of just images, got it 🙂 still makes for a good shot of how awesome the site was :), will definitely wait for word on that and read the rest of what is here as I am going to try my hand at programming an ardiuno for the moment, and later maybe see if I cant learn enough to work in a rasbian environment, though I do have full access to an MSDN sub of installs and keys through a friend. so installing VB studio would not be impossible along with any OS I wanted to develop specifically for.

Good luck! I’m just gonna continue doing my share of spreading my knowledge.

Thomas Anderson • 03/01/2017 at 14:17

excellent and I will keep reading what you put out 🙂 thanks for this by the way, again.

rusoaica • 03/01/2017 at 22:07

As I will continue teaching as often as my time allows me.
You are welcome!
